Maintenance
The maintenance requirements for the BluWave Hybrid Converter Kits are easy to follow and manage.
Initial Converter Kit Maintenance
After the first 100 miles of running the Converter Kit after installation, you will need to drain and flush the Separation Tank following these step-by-step instructions. During the break-in period of using your Converter Kit, old carbon build-up from your engine will be cleaned out. This carbon build-up that has passed through the Converter Kit Separation Tank needs to be flushed out of the system to ensure continued optimal Converter Kit performance.
Regular Maintenance
During the normal course of driving and filling up the fuel tank at the gas station, consumers need to check fluid levels in the BluWave Hybrid Separation Tank that is provided. It is recommended that each time you refill your fuel tank that you check the BluWave Hybrid Separation Tank level.
When the reservoir level is at the Minimum level labeled on the tank, the consumer needs to add distilled water to the BluWave Separation Tank to the Maximum level labeled on the tank (Caution: Never add water above line Maximum line). Topping off the fluid tank should be at intervals of between 300-400 miles or depending on your vehicle and driving habits. Topping off maybe required sooner.
*Caution* the fluid level should never drop below the Minimum line, as the consumer risks performance issues and potential warranty concerns.
Routine Service
Typically every three months the BluWave Hybrid Converter Kit will need routine service and maintenance to optimize performance and fulfill warranty requirements. Follow these step-by-step instructions to maximize the BluWave Hybrid Converter Kit results.
*Caution* high mileage driving will increase maintenance intervals. Recommended routine maintenance is required between 3,000-4,000 miles depending on your driving habits.
